Friday Post!

TGIF!!!!

The coming of the weekend always feels great especially if I feel like I have worked hard through the week. But a bummer. I strained my back muscle again. I think it's a combination of the swim on Monday, the intensive tennis session with Z on Tuesday, and lying on my stomach the entire night while sleeping which caused this old injury. That means I will be the POM POM girl tomorrow during badminton, ladies (without the POM POMs) . :)

I love the song Juls taught us on Wednesday during CG. It is a lovely song. Thanks Juls.

I wanted to say I really love this other song on our webby since the first time I heard it many years ago, till now. Very ministering. Thanks for putting the song up. :)

I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever

Over the mountains and the sea,
Your river runs with love for me,
and I will open up my heart and let the Healer set me free.

I'm happy to be in the truth,
and I will daily lift my hands:
for I will always sing of when Your love came down.

[Yeah!]I could sing of Your love forever,
I could sing of Your love forever,
I could sing of Your love forever,I could sing of Your love forever.

[Repeat] Oh, I feel like dancing -it's foolishness I know;
but, when the world has seen the light,
they will dance with joy, like we're dancing now.

Isn't it amazing to be in love with Jesus? I love the feeling, and I never want to feel differently. I pray that all of us will have a revelation of Jesus love for us, not just in our minds, but in our hearts. May all of us experience Him personally and intimately!

a lil something from lil me...

Moses had a staff.
David had a sling.
Samson had a jawbone.
Rahab had a string.
Mary had some ointment.
Aaron had a rod.
Dorcas had a needle.
All were used by God.
What do you have?

God inhibits the tiny seed, empowers the tiny deed. He cures the common life by giving no common life, by offering no common gifts. "Do all the good you can, by all means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can." Don't discount the smallness of your deeds.

Gals, with the impending IWD, let's give God what little we have in our hearts and believe that God will multiply those seeds we sow.

a reflection from watching L word season 5

after you break up, if you still have feelings for your ex, but you are already with someone, do yourself, your current partner and your ex-partner a favour and stay away from your ex-partner until either your relationship is very stable, and that your current partner feels very secure and has no problems with you being friends with your ex, or when you and your ex have no more feelings for each other.

But I like Tina and Bette to be together leh.. just that Jodie seems so happy with Bette.. Heartbreaking.

Post-Valentine Post

E and I managed to escape the crazy V-day's crowd and the exorbitant cost of dinner outside. We had a quiet dinner at home cooked by E's friend who was staying with E this period of time when she is in Singpore. Invited dear S over as well. I was truly exhausted having had to give tuition after work till 8p.m. after work. So while the 3 of them headed down to PLAY after all the cleaning up, I headed home to rest. Bleah. But would I have gone if I was not so tired? Maybe not too. Quoting Tina: This is so not my scene. ;)

Had to faciliate BS on Saturday. I am so thankful that is over. A load off my back. Now for the facilitation for PLUSH 3 weeks later. I managed to figure out the chords of 2 lovely songs: All the Heavens and Majesty (Here I am). Should I use these for worship? Or do you gals have any other song requests?

E is away till Friday on a work trip. Time to catch up on my E-rrands!

pre-Valentine post

i was watching Grey's Anatomy last night...and this vow really touched my heart..it may be too hollywood for some, but i couldnt care any less..im still posting it anyway ;-)

rach

The would-be wedding vows of Preston Burke (Isaiah Washington), Grey’s Anatomy “Didn’t We Almost Have It All” (Season 3 Finale):

“Christina, I could promise to hold you, and to cherish you. I could promise to be there in sickness and in health. I could say till death do us part. But I won’t. Those vows are for optimistic couples, the ones full of hope. And I do not stand here, on my wedding day, optimistic or full of hope. I am not optimistic. I am not hopeful. I am sure. I am steady. And I know. I am a heart man. I take them a part. I put them back together. I hold them in my hands. I… am a heart man. So this, I am sure, you are my partner, my lover, my very best friend. My heart beats for you. And on this day, the day of our wedding, I promise you this. I promise you to lay my heart in the palm of your hands. I promise you… me.”

Healed and Whole

HEALED AND WHOLE
(by Carol Parott)

One day I dug a little hole
and put my hurt inside
I thought that I could just forget
I'd put it there to hide.

But that little hurt began to grow
I covered it every day
I couldn't leave it and go on
It seemed the price I had to pay.

My joy was gone,
my heart was sad
Pain was all I knew.
My wounded soul enveloped me
Loving seemed too hard to do.

One day, while standing by my hole
I cried to God above
And said, "If You are really there --
They say, You're a God of love!"

And just like that -- He was right there
And just put His arms around me
He wiped my tears, His hurting child
There was no safer place to be.

I told Him all about my hurt
I opened up my heart
He listened to each and every word
To every sordid part.

I dug down deep and got my hurt
I brushed the dirt away
And placed it in the Master's hand
And healing came that day.

He took the blackness of my soul
And set my spirit FREE!
Something beautiful began to grow
Where the hurt used to be.

And when I look at what has grown
Out of my tears and pain
I remember every day to give my hurts to Him
And never bury them again.
